Addison Rae has somehow pulled off a glorious pivot from exuberant young TikToker to pop star du jour for the girls and the gays. Raised in small-town Louisiana, she shares more than just geography with Britney Spears: both are born dancers, breathy charmers, and possessed of that strange, bodily charisma that seems to originate in the belly. Like Britney, Addison left Louisiana for Los Angeles in search of stardom, but instead of musing hitmakers like Max Martin, she teamed up with Charli XCX, Arca, and a young female production duo to craft something a little more niche but extremely fun. While early singles were dismissed as cringe by tasteless haters, her debut album Addison is undeniably special. It’s a feathery joyride of a record: part In the Zone-era Britney, part ’90s-era Madonna, with flashes of Paris Hilton’s “Stars Are Blind.” People keep saying she sounds like Lana, but the truth is she sounds lighter, more buoyant, and very herself.
Naturally, Addison has a fragrance line. Launched at the peak of her influencer era, it features scents called things like Hyped AF (offering “a daily dose of euphoria”) and Confident AF (offering “a daily dose of boldness”). We imagine she smells a bit more grown now, like lipstick blotted on vintage Chanel, a cream-top cold brew fetched by someone else, fancy hotel sheets streaked with self-tanner, a cigarette ashed in an oyster shell. She’s giving a Roxy Swimwear collab with A.G. Cook. A Bath & Body Works campaign shot by Petra Collins. The Delia’s archive reworked by Mugler. The scent of someone who’s been told she’s embarrassing and decided to be iconic instead.
Nitesurf Neroli by Régime des Fleurs
Addison Rae feels like someone who belongs on a beach. On “Aquamarine,” she sings, “Swimmin’ in the sea with the salt in my hair / Kissed by the sun, it’s a love affair / Heart of the ocean around my neck,” conjuring an image of her glistening body emerging from the surf. At the CFDAs last year, she brought that vision to life in a Thom Browne mermaid skirt. Nitesurf Neroli smells like that moment: glowing marine florals, salty air, and smoked seashells. Like Addison herself, Régime des Fleurs has It Girl clout but is also accessible enough to go viral on TikTok. Nitesurf opens with neroli and neon citrus before drying down into sea minerals, Ambroxan, and phosphorescent foam. It’s mermaidcore, it’s whimsical, it’s wet from the beach on its way to a party, it’s Addison in an atomizer.

Something about Addison is undeniably sugary sweet—her teeny bopper, makeup-free face, her penchant for wearing pink, the way I just know her hair smells like that cake-scented IGK heat protectant spray. Jasmine Freak is a slightly more alt version of Rihanna’s signature scent, the sugar-spun Love, Don't Be Shy by Kilian. The fruit is turned up on Jasmine Freak; it smells like eating fresh mango on the beach, it’s dripping. It dries down into sweet, musky jasmine, the way that guy’s chest might smell after Addison leaves her mark so he knows she’s the best (or maybe the way her feet smell after he licks off all the icing. We love a foot-fetish-friendly queen!)

Are we hitting the beach angle too hard? With Addison, there is no such thing as too much coast—this girl was born to be in the back of a pickup truck on the way to a surf trip, actual surfing be damned. To put it in smooth brain terms, she’s so sunshine-coded. She’s a Love Island bombshell smoking a joint, she’s the good southern girl from Louisiana gone wild on spring break. She and Lana own the summer, spiritually speaking. Soleil Tonka is sunshine in a bottle, all coconut and vanilla and cream and sea salt and sweat. It smells like if cheap sunscreen from Walgreens got all dressed up for dinner on the last night of vacation. Addison would wear it in her vlogger days, taking you on a tour of her resort in Hawaii. And maybe she’d still wear it now to remind herself of simpler times (so Lana-writing-White-Dress-coded).
Hot or cold? Sunburnt.

Room in the house? The one with the sliding glass door facing the pool.

A Drop d’Issey Eau de Parfum Fraîche by Issey Miyake
In case it isn’t clear by now, Addison is someone we imagine as always wet. During her brief and strange friendship with Kourtney Kardashian (my intro to Addison that frankly more people should talk about), the odd couple was constantly gliding lazily around Kourtney’s Calabasas pool, fueling suspicion among the sisters that they might be dating despite a 22-year age gap. Drop d’Issey Fraîche is supposed to smell like rain, but to me it smells like chlorinated skin and fresh lilacs planted by Kourtney’s gardener. Like Régime des Fleurs, Issey Miyake has cool girl credibility, but this scent is as approachable as Addison’s early TikToks. The cheerful raindrop-shaped bottle is exactly the kind of thing Addison would call “so freaking cute” before flinging it in her Balenciaga weekender. On skin, it’s effervescent, dewy, and a little unreal, like Addison’s bizarre friendship with the most monotone Kardashian sister.
Hot or cold? Cold plunge at the spa.
Color? Mineral water blue.
Which Addison song is it? “In The Rain.”
Room in the house? Steam room.
Animal? Butterfly.
Film? The Blue Lagoon (1980).
Texture? Perspiring glass.
Signature drink? Chilled aloe vera juice.
Favorite word? “Glisten.”
Ripe or dead? Ripe but overwatered.
